ARTS, BRIEFLY; A Grammy Awards Tribute for Aretha Franklin

With Mick Jagger already sealed on to perform during a Grammy Awards in a reverence to a thespian Solomon Burke, who called himself ”King Solomon” and who died in October, it’s usually wise that Aretha Franklin, a still-reigning ”Queen of Soul,” should also be respected during a awards rite on Sunday in Los Angeles. Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams and Florence Welch will attend in a loyalty to a 68-year-old Ms. Franklin. Grammy sponsors are describing it as a ”valentine” and a ”get-well card” to Ms. Franklin, who has won 18 Grammys herself. She was hospitalized in Detroit late final year, underwent medicine for an undisclosed ailment and canceled several months’ value of scheduled performances.

This is a some-more finish chronicle of a story than a one that seemed in print.
